Please check out the April Blogging from A to Z Challenge

My theme for the 2026 A to Z Challenge is Plotting Book Three in my Existence series — Cave of Existence.
This is some of the structure, or "beats," for an alphabet-worth of the book. (Approximately the first 2/3 of the novel.) Some authors find that having a structured plan in place before writing is helpful. Using the alphabet, I've created the basic plan for a large part of the novel, and I'll be sharing that here with you.
Posts will be about this writing project, but not excerpts of the book itself.
The goal of my author blog is to share "behind the scenes" goodies on my books, and to establish my author "brand." Readers should feel welcome here. Like a mixer partyπ·πΈπ»π΅☕- visiting this blog should feel like an opportunity to get to know me, my characters, and fellow commenters.
(It also lets me take part in really fun blog hops and connect with fellow bloggers!)
I am the team leader and a co-host of the A to Z Challenge, so once April starts, I will be very busy. I try to comment on every blog in the challenge. (Assuming I don't need to "sign up" or "subscribe" to something just to comment.) However, I am open to prewriting a few guest posts if anyone is looking for a guest contributor for your A to Z blog this April. Leave a comment and be sure I know how to reach you.

I like the idea of a behind the scenes of the work of a writer. I greatly admire people who have books in them, and actually write them.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I hope my posts will be entertaining and informative next month.
DeleteIt's always enlightening to see how others' brains operate.
ReplyDeleteThat is very true.
DeleteGreat theme choice! Mine will be more of a visual one....
ReplyDeleteCool cool.
DeleteA little glimpse of what happens behind the scenes is a great idea. As a fellow writer, maybe I'll learn something I can apply to my own process.
ReplyDeleteThat would be cool. I love learning, and teaching, new things.
DeleteSounds like a great theme. I'll see you around in April.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteGreat idea...behind the scenes for plotting the book. I like it. April is going to be here before we know it and although I've got a "theme" in mind and ready to post later this week...I'm not sure if I'm ready. I guess it will be a surprise!
ReplyDeleteCheers
Barbie
I do hope you'll join in the fun!
DeleteIt will be fun to see how you write ;-)
ReplyDeleteRonel visiting for Theme Reveal for A to Z Blogging Challenge 2026
I hope so!
DeleteThe first blog visited in this year's A to Z challenge. I also want to write a business novel. Let me learn from your posts.
ReplyDeleteMy theme reveal post for 2026
Industrial Engineering - A to Z 2026 - Theme Reveal Post

A business novel, interesting genre. I've heard about it, but haven't read any.
DeleteGreat minds think alike, it seems! I'm putting together my Guinea pig Care Guide, based on previous A to Zs by the guinea pigs... pulling it together is not easy, is it?
ReplyDeleteYeah, the books aren't always arranged the same way as the blog posts. Gotta make things work for where they are, I suppose. Like, I assume Guinea pigs living in a center city high-rise have different lives than ones out in the country or something. I don't really know, just a guess.
DeleteThanks for organizing the A to Z again this year! And good luck with the book!

DeleteA good way to develop the book!
ReplyDeleteI hope so! I didn't use this method for the first two books.
DeleteI look forward to seeing what your boook is about! good luck with the challenge
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteWill try to follow your A2Z this year.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that.
DeleteGood luck.
ReplyDeleteThanks
DeleteI love the theme you've chosen for yourself! Will be looking forward to your posts through April. All the best and good luck with the book!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteBook plotting sounds interesting. Best wishes for your project.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteI envy people that can plot - I wing it, and it makes things complicated. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do over the month!

I've tried just winging it. I've worked with a barebones plan. And I've plotted. Just wanted to try lots of methods to see what was most beneficial.
DeleteCan't wait to follow what you do.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really interesting idea for the A-Z. I love behind the story peeks about the creation of a story.
