Update on What is Going On

I am behind in posting, replying to comments, hopping, and basically everything.
Apologies.

A very dear friend of ours (if we could adopt an adult or marry a third person -- just to get the title of "family" as defined by US law -- we would) is in the hospital. He had a heart attack. (Or heart incident, or event, or whatever they're calling it.) 💔 The result being heart surgery is planned in the next few days; they're just waiting for him to be well enough to handle it. CCICU.

In May, my reflection post will definitely talk about the value of planning posts in advance. I regret using the theme reveal for prompts. (Though writing this story has been crazy fun.) But if life throws you 🍋⚾ lemons and curveballs, there goes the schedule. 😞

I am working on catching up. And still hope to visit every blog in the challenge on the Master List this month. I have my posts on the main A to Z site scheduled for the month. I'm still working on my posts for Operation Awesome. And I'm diligently working on the posts for my own blog, including using the WEP prompt this month. (Because, of course, I'm doing two blog hops at once.)

Don't even get me started on the book reviews I haven't posted. Or the book I've read 90% of and didn't get to the last chapter yet. Oh, and the WIPs I'm juggling? 😰

I'm also working two jobs right now. Got in on a construction gig, and have been helping my spouse with the gourmet catering business. (Mostly carrying things, because no, I can't cook. I'm good with food over a fire, but that's about it.) I miss my pre-covid job.

Anyway. That's what's going on. I am working on everything. But I still only have 24 hours in my day, same as everyone else. Thankfully, I'm planning a vacation in May.

Hopefully, it won't be snowing then. ⛄ Because, yeah, that happened today. It was only a few flurries and it didn't last long, but still, I was not expecting to see snow in the middle of April in Pennsylvania.

  5. Don't worry about "getting everything done." Just hang in there. Sending care to you and your friend, and family whether legally defined or not.

I´m falling way behind to with my blog visiting and posting, but definitely your friend and work is so much more important right now. Oh, and about it: I´m supposed to submit a steampunk story by the end of this month!!! I swear I´m not hyperventilating...

  9. Sorry to hear about your friend. You have a lot going on so don't worry about falling behind. I think every year I end up getting behind in reading blog posts, liking and commenting.
