Excerpt from Proof of Existence by @JLenniDorner
This ring appears in Proof of Existence. It's hard to describe a ring, even when one has all of the accurate words. Because it is more about how the ring makes the wearer feel. There's a discussion about what such rings once meant to some people. (It's upsetting.) But first, it's a very pretty ring. And a FIVE-carat diamond is impressive and weighty.
The companion ring has round amethyst gems and marquise-cut diamonds.
Question — If price were no object, what sort of ring might you want (for yourself or someone special)?

Quickly seeing the title of the post along with the tags, I thought the five-carat ring is the giveaway! Haha!
ReplyDelete๐ฒ thank you for thinking I had the kind of money to do a giveaway like that...
DeleteThat is a very pretty ring. All its sparkly colours work well together.

Happy shopping.
DeleteHmmmm . . .one ring to rule them all? Just kidding. I don't want to be in charge.
ReplyDelete๐ Time to chuck it into Mount Doom. ๐
DeletePretty rings! I learned how to describe rings today :-) With my carpal tunnel -- and furbabies -- rings aren't really an option for me, no matter the price. Now shoes, on the other hand... LOL.

ReplyDeleteWow, that really was a nice description. I´m quite bad with jewelry so I don´t think I could tell how to describe one, even less to assess how expensive are they besides of the size of the diamond in the middle.
If I could have any ring in the world, I´d love to have back 2 of them: the first, a goldenhand holding inside its index and thumb a tenny-tiny diamond. This was my elemmentary school graduation gift.
the second one, a golden ring with a heavy rectangular ruby that grandma used to have on her index finger and both her and my mom loved so much. Both were stolen years ago.
