I love THIS blog because:
  • I enjoy the writings of this author
  • She's a really fun person
  • Many of the posts also have cool pictures
  • She is also a former A to Z co-host

#atozchallenge Usborne books for Children

“Cordelia” is a young girl who can fly. Until she hears whispers that it is impossible for people to fly and suddenly, she can’t. This tale encourages following dreams and believing in yourself, valuable lessons for readers of all ages. This book is written with children 3-7 in mind.

  1. I've been to C Lee McKenzie's blog. Cat in a book, I've read many. The cat in my lap doesn't like other cats though.

  2. More top tips. I haven't read a single one of the books yet - going to be a big TBR list by the end of the month!!

  3. No, never been to that blog (am checking it now, due to the "cool pictures" you say it has!), or read the books.
Cats? A lot of my books have characters with cats, but it's been some time since I read one narrated by a cat! I have read mysteries like that though. Or Martha Grimes, The Black Cat, which was one of her weakest.

  4. I know some 3-7 year olds who should read Cordelia! Thanks for the recommendation.

  5. Chez Stinky sounds awesome.

  6. Only two literary cats come to mind: The Cheshire Cat, and the ones from those mystery novels "The Cat who..." I read one or two of them and thought they were cute. It was nice that the author didn't try to anthropomorphize them, but they still led the story.

  7. Yes to the blog visit. No to the books. I can't choose a favorite cat book. There are so many good ones. I like anything involving cats in space. And cozy mysteries. And fantasy cats. Those are some tempting looking books!

  8. Nice, J. Looking forward to adding more books on my TBR pile. Thanks again for the suggestion of doing an A to Z about San Francisco! It has been quite fun so far.
