I love THIS blog because:
  • There are some writing tips I haven't seen elsewhere

#atozchallenge Usborne books for Children

Usborne’s “Extraordinary Lives” series features fully illustrated books with real-life narratives, timelines, facts and more, each focusing on the life of an inspiring historical or modern day figure. This includes people like Anne Frank, Rosa Parks, Katherine Johnson, Amelia Earhart, Serena Williams, Nelson Mandela, Stephen Hawking, and more! These books are great for children 7-11 years old.

  3. I reckon I will get through April without having read any of the books from your posts - but the King Arthur one is always an intriguing story!

  5. Usborne's Extraordinary Lives series sounds like a good one for kids. It didn't take long to include Stephen Hawking in the list. I'm sure that's an interesting book!

  6. Ha! I got the same junk comment about Lord Zulu today!
I haven't read any of the books, or been to the blog. We have different reading tastes!
I like the Lady of the Lake and the sword. People forget about that sword, and think there is only the one in the stone. I like the parallels to Grendel's mother, the lake, and sword.

    1. No matter how much I watch for spam, something always sneaks in! I deleted it.
Wordpress self-hosted was better for spam reduction than Blogger-- that's one thing I miss about my old blog.
It's a beautiful world that has books for a wide variety of reading tastes.
I too love the Lady of the Lake.

  7. Awesome book recommendations this month, J! My favourite Arthurian character is Morgana -- I know, very dark. LOL. I even had her split in two in "Once... Tales, Myths and Legends of Faerie" -- with scary consequences in other books.
