#atozchallenge M is for Mama Diaries, Money, Moonstone, Marked, Murder - Plus a Giveaway and Kindle Countdown Deal

#AtoZChallenge 2021 April Blogging from A to Z Challenge letter M

An alphabet of J's favorite blogs

M is for https://sherryellis.blogspot.com/ - Mama Diaries
I love THIS blog because:
  • This is one of the first blogs I followed (even though I'm not a mother (or a father))
  • Sherry writes fun children's books
  • There are often entertaining stories on her blog. It reminds me of the humor columns in Reader's Digest magazine.

On a more practical note, the book “Managing Your Money” is a great book for preteens and teens (and even young adults) learning and preparing to manage their own money. It is an easy-to-read guide to equip them with the skills needed for budgeting, calculating discounts, saving, managing bank accounts, need vs want, charitable giving, interest rates, credit cards and more! This book is so important since many of these topics are not addressed in mainstream schooling!

J's TBR pile #atozchallenge

M is for these books on my TBR:

(I have 30 books that start with M on the TBR pile of books I own. So this required a lot of narrowing down which to mention today.)

  • Moonstone Academy: Year One: A Mayhem of Magic World Story by Nicole Zoltack
    • I know I've read something by this author, but it must have been a short story because I didn't review it. But I remember really liking this author, and we do follow each other on Twitter.
    • "my dad’s a demon"
  • Marked (Servants of Fate Book 1) by Sarah Fine
    • Cacy works to save lives, she has another job ferrying the dead to the Afterlife
    • 2099 Boston
  • Murder in Cherry Hills: A Small-Town Cat Cozy Mystery (Cozy Cat Caper Mystery Book 1) by Paige Sleuth
    • "lend a furry paw to her investigation" 😺
    • (Honestly, I thought it was Cherry Hill, NJ - which I've been to many times. But it's Cherry Hills, Washington.)
    • I like cats.

  3. Kids really should learn about money management. We did some stuff on that subject in my eighth grade home and careers class.

  4. The book about money management sounds very boring -- but very important. I will have to check it out.

  5. Managing Money sounds like a great book to have. Luckily my dad taught me all of that while growing up, so not having the book then didn't leave a hole in my education :-)
